Obituary For Anthony Thomas Caviness

Anthony Thomas Caviness, “Tommy” passed away peacefully at his home in Hudson, Florida, on November 14, 2022, at the age of 40. He is survived by his daughters, Alaina and Audrey Caviness; his mother, Debi Quick; his sisters, Tina Caviness and Tricia Quick-Rivera; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Rivera, sister-in-law, Kristy Norris; his aunt, Irene Stone; and cousins in both Florida and Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his father, James Quick; and his uncle, Don Kalogerson. Tommy was born on May 16, 1982, in Tampa, Florida and, as a child, also lived several years in Minnesota. He got his high school GED after attending Sickles High School. Tommy started an LLC at the age of 19, called Tommy’s Tile Services. He worked in several construction positions but preferred tile setting after being an apprentice for several years in his youth. Tommy loved family time with his girls and they have many happy memories together at the beach, watching movies, bicycling, swimming in the pool, various school functions including Odyssey of the Mind projects, sporting events, choir performances, playing at the park, and cooking favorite foods together. There will be a celebration of life for Tommy at the beach, his favorite place, with a date to be determined soon.

There are so many memories of growing up with my brother that I will always cherish. He always had an intensity that was fierce and amazing, a quick wit, and the ability to learn anything. I want to always celebrate his life and keep his memories close to my heart. I will miss my baby brother Tommy.
