Obituary For Haralampos Peppas

Haralampos "Bobby" Peppas, 74, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away on April 27, 2024. Born in Thiva, Greece to Ioannis and Sotiria Peppas on January 30, 1950, Bobby lived a life filled with hard work, simple pleasures, and love for his family.

At the young age of 15, Bobby left school after his father died and dived into the working world to help support his family. He ventured into the Merchant Marines before finding his calling as an auto mechanic. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to open Royal Auto Center in Astoria, NY, a business he dedicated himself to until his retirement to Florida a decade ago.

Bobby had a green thumb like no other. He cherished his gardenia plant like a beloved child, pouring his heart into nurturing it. Fishing was his escape, and he would take every opportunity to be by the water, lost in the tranquility of the moment. Known for his culinary skills, Bobby delighted in baking and cooking for his family and friends, always eager to share his creations.

Everyone knew Bobby for his authenticity. He possessed a heart of gold, though he didn't shy away from speaking his mind, even if it meant delivering harsh truths. Whatever needed to be done, he would do it, especially when it was for his family. Despite his stature, Bobby commanded a room with his sheer presence. He didn't know how to do anything small. He may have arrived in this country alone, but he built a family around him wherever he was.
