Obituary For Herbert J Garcia, US Army

Herbert J. Garcia III, 71, of New Port Richey, lovingly known to many as “RC,” passed away March 9, 2023. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Alynda Lee Garcia, aka “Lynn” (also pictured), who passed away in 2010. Both will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Friday May 26th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.

RC & Lynn together forever.

RC's friends and family will miss him. He will be fondly remembered by his sister, Helen Golden; and her son, Elliot Shelton, who will travel from Athens, GA, to attend the brief ceremony. He will also be remembered by his dear friends, Bob Richardson and Beverly Dunn; Mike and Mary Voture; BJ and Charlene Atkins; Rick Harmon and his family; Martin Arthur; and those frequent guests at Christina's Restaurant in New Port Richey where he had breakfast every day for many years. RC was one of a kind. May he and Lynn rest in peace.

Herbert (RC)was one of a kind, he was a very caring, and thoughtful person, we were so lucky to have gotten to know him, and share some good times together, he will be missed, so much by Beverly and Bob rest in peace RC

I never had the pleasure of meeting Lynn, but Jory spoke of her often and she was the love of his life. Jory (RC) was a lifelong friend of my husband, Mike, and later a dear friend to me. Though time and distance have separated us, he was never far from my thoughts. I'm sure Mike and BJ welcomed their "amigo" like a brother. Now he is at peace with Lynn and will remain in my thoughts and prayers.
