Obituary For Robert E Watson, US Army

Robert "Bob" Watson, 87, of St. Petersburg, Florida went to be with the Lord as he peacefully passed away at home on October 24, 2022 with his loving wife of 66 years, Shirley, and his daughter, Debbie by his side.

Bob was born in Glen Campbell, Pennsylvania in 1935. He served his country in the Army, worked for GM for 19 years, and was a partner in Consumer Tire, an auto maintenance shop in Mentor, Ohio until he retired in 2000 and moved to Florida. He was an avid golfer who had gotten two hole-in-ones, loved to hunt and fish, and he was a die hard Steelers fan. Bob enjoyed game nights with his family and regular card nights with friends. He also enjoyed going on road trips with his motorcycle club, loved playing jokes on people, and just having a good time. If you asked anyone, they would tell you that Bob was a kind soul and would go out of his way to help anyone.

Bob is survived by wife, Shirley; daughters, Diane Kutz (Mike) and Debbie Wilgus (Lewis); grandchildren, Savannah Lay (Cody), George Stamp, Jonathan Wilgus, Lydia Kutz, Megan Wilgus, Natalie Oswald (Tyler), Robbie Watson; and his great granddaughter, Sadie Oswald.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Watson; siblings, Margaret Pierce (Ray), Myrtle Woods (Dan), and James Watson (Judi); and his sons, Bobby, Eddie, Gary, and Gregory Watson.

Bob’s memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on November 11, 2022 at the Legacy Church located at 3737 1St St NE, St. Petersburg Fl. 33704
